My name is Michelle and I'm a blended family, work at home mom to seven kids. Between all of their sports and activities and my husband James’ unpredictable fireman schedule, we stay very busy! I truly understand the need for simple but healthy dinners.

Food has always been a focus in our lives. With a husband who is diabetic, one child with severe asthma and another child with ADHD as well as several other issues, feeding our family gets a little tricky at times. We use a whole food, mostly plant based, gluten and casein free diet as a tool to help heal and maintain healthy bodies.

I am not a professionally trained chef, but a mom who has learned to cook and eliminate the ingredients that my family needs to avoid. I know how to please kids at the dinner table while only using allowed ingredients. At times I feel like my kitchen is more of a science lab than a place to cook. There has been a lot of trial and error, cooking and tasting, readjusting and at times, trashing. I hope that by sharing what I have learned, I can make your transition and maintenance of this way of cooking easier.
